Managing Addons
Requirements
- Blender Version: Brender Cloud supports addons from Blender version 4.2+.
- System Compatibility: Addons must be compatible with Linux (Ubuntu 22) since Brender Cloud servers run on this environment.
⚠️
This feature is experimental. Not all addons may be compatible.
Uploading Addons to Brender Cloud
-
Navigate to the Extensions Tab:
Open the Extensions page in your dashboard. -
Click the Upload Addon Button:
Click on the Upload Addon button. -
Upload Your Addon(s):
- Select and upload the desired addon file(s).
- Optionally, add a description explaining the functionality of the addon (this is helpful for other studio members).
- You can also specify a Blender version (this is for informational purposes only and does not affect functionality).
-
Availability:
Once uploaded, the addon will be available to the entire studio.
Using Addons
When creating a new render—such as an animation—follow these steps:
-
Start a New Render:
Begin by selecting a.blend
or.zip
file in the render creation form. -
Enable Addons:
You will see a toggle switch to enable addons for that render. -
Select Addons:
A list of previously uploaded studio addons will appear. Simply select the addons you wish to use for the project.
