Limits

In this section, we explain what limits are and how they work in Brender Cloud.

Studio Overview

What are Limits?

Limits in Brender Cloud refer to the monthly rendering time caps that a studio can use. By default, each studio is allocated 20 hours per month. These limits are designed to help users control costs and avoid unexpected expenses.

Why Do Limits Exist?

Limits exist to provide users with predictable billing and to prevent accidental overuse of rendering resources. They are especially useful for studios that want to manage their budgets efficiently.

Requesting a Quota Increase

If your studio requires more rendering hours, the root user can request a quota increase. To do this:

  1. Navigate to Studio.
  2. Click on the Request Quota Increase button.
  3. Specify the number of hours needed per month and provide a reason for the request.

Review and Approval Process

All quota increase requests are manually reviewed by the sales team. This process can take between 24 and 48 hours. The root user will receive email notifications about the status of their request.

Quota Reset Cycle

Quota usage resets to zero at the beginning of each subscription period. The default limit is designed to cover common use cases, but studios with heavier workloads are encouraged to request an increase to avoid interruptions.

Additional Information

  • Only the root user can request quota increases.
  • Approval times may vary depending on the volume of requests.
  • Make sure to provide a clear reason for the increase to speed up the approval process.
