Studios
What is a Studio?
A Studio in Brender Cloud is a shared workspace where you and your team can collaborate on rendering projects. It allows you to view and manage render jobs from a single location and centralizes shared resources such as add-ons and custom Python scripts.
Creating a Studio
A studio is automatically created when you register for Brender Cloud. The registering user becomes the primary administrator, known as the Root user.
Adding additional members to a studio is optional—the platform functions the same regardless of team size.
Studio Roles
A studio can have members with one of three roles:
Role | Permissions |
---|---|
Root | Full administrative privileges, including managing users and settings. |
Manager | Can manage render jobs, users, and view studio expenses. |
Member | Can only manage render jobs. |
Adding a New Member
To add a new member to your studio:
- Navigate to the Studio > Manage Members page.
- Click the New Member button.
A dialog will appear where you can enter the new member’s username, email, and assign a role (Manager or Member). Once completed, the new member will receive an email invitation along with a temporary password. The new member must log in and change their password before accessing Brender Cloud.
Managing Members
Removing a Member
- Go to Studio > Manage Members .
- In the users table, select one or more members and click the trash icon to remove them from the studio.
